How good was the year?
Each vintage is rated out of 20 according to the overall quality of the year in the region: weather, ripeness, health of the grapes. A rating shows a trend, not a verdict: a good winemaker can make fine wines in a difficult year. Ratings for the two most recent vintages are provisional.
- 19 to 20: exceptional
- 17 to 18: great vintage
- 15 to 16: very good
- 13 to 14: good
- 10 to 12: average
- under 10: poor
